Landsec reports ‘return to growth’ at major retail destinations
Retail landlord Landsec has posted a ‘return to growth’ and improved performance from its major retail destinations portfolio.
Victorian Plumbing expects modest second half revenue growth
Victorian Plumbing has said it expects to post modest second-half revenue growth after its first-half revenue fell by 5% year-on-year to £133.9m and profits fell to £2.7m from £14.5m.
Leicester-based Shoe Zone revenues were up 73% to £69.9m in the 26 weeks to April with a profit before tax of £3.1m, the brand aims to double its locations to 100 and hybrid stores to 200.
On Holdings sales should exceed 1bn Swiss francs
On Holdings Q1 saw issues with the supply chain disruptions and factory closures but managed to ship more than 1m pairs in March for the first time and is projecting sales to exceed 1bn Swiss francs.
Retail footfall down 0.7% last week
UK retail footfall across all areas edged down 0.7% last week but high-streets visitors were up 0.7%, with shopping centres and retail parks seeing footfall drop by 2.3% and 1.8% respectively.

How to get your brand on the May Editorial Calendars
Next month sees the start of the Platinum Jubilee 4-day weekend so start to get anything related to the Jubilee up now and get the keywords Platinum Jubilee on anything relevant.
We’re now well into Spring so carry on adding those spring summer related images and adding keywords relating to summer outfits, swimwear, the garden, garden parties and Barbecues (don’t forget to add all of the other spellings BBQ, Bar-B-Que etc and other related keywords like picnics, garden party etc).
Now that covid travel restrictions have lifted images of beach holidays and swimwear, as well as holiday clothes, festival clothes can all come back out and all of the associated keywords and phrases sandals, beachwear, swimsuits, bikinis, linen, summer wear. Although not everyone will be going abroad so still keep keywords and phrases like “staycation” “holistay” “holiday at home” to your keywords and why not suggest clothing like cardigans for the colder UK evenings.
May is also the start of wedding season so if you have any wedding related items then get ready to promote them with any wedding keywords, bridal, bride, groom, hen party, stag do etc.
